The Department of Interactive Media and Educational Technologies (IMB) at Danube University Krems (Donau Universität Krems) in Austria focuses on the design, implementation and evaluation of new didactic scenarios that have arisen in conjunction with interactive media and innovative learning technologies.
2013 Eportfolio Forum aims to support our digital identities, footprints and networks through eportfolio practice with a combination of presentations, workshops, 20×20 sessions, posters and facilitated conversations on Thursday 3 October.
This Forum will be complemented by Pre-Forum Workshops on Wednesday 2 October, from 9.30 am-12.30 pm & 1.30 pm-4.30 pm to allow new and experienced eportfolio supporters to gain some ‘hands-on’ experience with using eportfolios. More information to follow.
Contemporary media (digital, social and mobile) is transforming the landscape of identity, education and employment. The centralised, top-down, mass media model on which most of our institutions are based is facing assaults from the emerging decentralised, bottom-up, networked, agile social knowledge media. While old power centres are being challenged, new ones are emerging: they are based on the systematic collection, analyse and exploitation of the mass of data produced in our daily life.
