Mahara User Group

The Mahara User Group (MUG) is a community of Mahara users from across the globe who collaborate on ideas, challenges and innovations related to the Mahara open-source ePortfolio platform. After holding its inaugural meeting on August 9, 2011, MUG established a Facebook page (link) to continue conversations and plan for future meetings. On October 13, 2011, MUG met virtually for a web conference, during which various institutions shared their progress with implementing Mahara on their campuses.

Putting the Patient at The Heart of Physiotherapy Student Education: Supporting Development and Life Long Learning Using Eportfolios

There are substantial changes taking place within healthcare delivery in the United Kingdom. These have a significant impact upon student education, both in academic delivery and within the practice environment. The recent White Paper (Department of Health, 2010) suggests that care is changing and the primary focus is on patient choice and improving the cost efficiency of services. Thus, healthcare practitioners are challenged with maintaining a high quality of patient care whilst making productivity savings.

Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) was founded in 1974 and became a member of the University of Zagreb in 1975 which is a research oriented university comprising 29 faculties, 3 art academies and 3 university centres. University enrols approximately 77 000 students at all study levels, and employs more than 5 700 research and teaching staff. FOI was the first faculty of the University of Zagreb to develop and implement an e-Learning and ePortfolio Strategy. Faculty research staff comprises 41 professors and 56 research/teaching assistants.
