One of the things that people working at the Centre of e-Learning have in common is the belief that better education means better future. We are moreover well aware that Internet and computer use can vastly believe the quality of eucation. We also believe that education is not closed within the walls of school or university and it does not end on the day one receives her or his diplomma. That is why we passionately engage in e-learning and life-long learning activities.

Regional In-Service Teacher Training Centre Metis in Katowice is a public institution created for improving teachers' skills and abilities. It acts by virtue of educational and local government legal acts on the whole area of the Silesian Province.

Regionalny Ośrodek Metodyczno-Edukacyjny Metis w Katowicach jest publiczną placówką doskonalenia nauczycieli, działającą w oparciu o oświatowe i samorządowe akty prawne na terenie całego Województwa Śląskiego. Posiada akredytację Śląskiego Kuratora Oświaty. W swym działaniu kieruje się zasadami wytyczanymi przez dokumenty unijne: Strategię Lizbońską i Memorandum Unijne dotyczące kształcenia ustawicznego, w powiązaniu ze Strategią Rozwoju Województwa Śląskiego i priorytetami MENu i Śląskiego Kuratora Oświaty.
