University of Southern Denmark, is located in Denmark. University of Southern Denmark has more than 20,000 students and more than 3,200 employees. The university offers teaching and research at 6 campuses situated on Funen, in the south of Jutland, west of Zealand and in the capital city – in Odense, Kolding, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, Slagelse and Copenhagen. Knowledge lab
Knowledge Lab is a research- and development center at the Institute of Literature, Media and Cultural Studies. It creates innovation through cooperation with private companies, public institutions and research. It works in partnerships on local, regional, national and EU levels in a number of fields including IT, health, education and learning, city development projects and knowledge sharing.
Knowledge Lab researches through development projects, and creates development through research.
EPortfolio related work:
Knowledge Lab has initiated the forming of and houses the Nordic Portfolio Forum, which is an association for Portfolio Interested organisations and individuals in Denmark, Sweden and Norway (www.eportfolio.dk). The purpose of the association is to forward development, use and research of portfolio in educational as well as business contexts. Through this association Knowledge Lab engages in various projects with practitioners in other Danish Swedish and Norwegian universities, University Colleges and Business Schools.
Knowledge Lab has hosted 4 Danish portfolio conferences in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010 and is preparing one for 2012. Particularly the use of portfolio in the Health Sector has been a subject at more of the conferences.
Knowledge Lab, and its Director Henrik Helms has been counselling a number of Ph.d. projects for different University Colleges in Denmark. Knowledge Lab publishes the magazine "OnEdge" about twice a year, and this magazine has had two issues (2005 and 2008) dealing solely with portfolio.
In 2010 Knowledge Lab has published two books on portfolio - namely a monograph on use of portfolio - "Portfolio is praksis" - and a collection of research articles dealing with various portfolio issues - "Portfolio problematikker".
